Description
Blacklists are used by receiving networks to evaluate the reputation of an IP address and/or domain. They are maintained by anti-spam groups and the majority of blacklistings result from sending unsolicited bulk email (UBE) to addresses that never requested them.
Why it's important
It's very important that your blacklist remains clean as there are many blacklist providers, some of which carry more weight in the community than others.
Check if you're blacklisted
The first step to determine if you've been blacklisted is to check on one of the following websites:
http://multirbl.valli.org/lookup/ http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx http://www.blacklistalert.org/ http://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-list.php
If your domain appears as being blacklisted, we recommend that you contact our Delivery team immediately. The best way to get this listing removed is to find out what caused it in the first place. If you want to avoid any additional blacklisting on your list, send a reconfirmation email to all your recipients. This should be done every few months depending on your email sending frequency and list size.
Prevention
If you want to avoid any additional blacklisting on your list, send a reconfirmation email to all your recipients.
