Description
You can create two versions of your email – one for mobile and one for desktop – with different content for each. This can be useful if you want to optimize your email for different devices, or if you want to show or hide certain elements based on the device on which the email is viewed.
Why It's Important
With more than 60% of emails now opened on mobile devices, creating device-specific versions of your campaigns is crucial for maximizing engagement and conversion rates. Mobile and desktop users have different reading patterns, screen sizes, and interaction behaviors that require tailored approaches. By optimizing content, layout, and call-to-action placement for each device type, you ensure that every subscriber has an optimal viewing experience.

Troubleshooting
Elements don't hide on selected device
- Make sure you've saved changes after setting "Hide on" options
- Clear cache and refresh preview
- Test using real devices rather than just browser preview
Mobile version looks cramped
- Use single-column layouts for mobile versions
- Increase font sizes for better mobile readability
- Reduce padding and margins for mobile elements
Desktop elements appear on mobile
- Double-check that "Hide on mobile" setting is enabled
- Some email clients may not support device-specific hiding
- Consider using responsive design as a fallback
Preview doesn't match live email
- Test with actual email sends to different devices
- Email client rendering may differ from preview
- Use email testing tools for accurate cross-client preview
Content alignment issues
- Center content for better mobile display
- Use percentage-based widths instead of fixed pixels
- Test with various screen sizes and orientations
